Thursday morning last was two degrees colder than was ever observed in this place; the whole day continued proportionally more extreme
The Thermometer with which the above observations were made hathe been verifie verified at the points of freezing & water boiling.

11 Exchanged the last of the notes with Capt. Kellogg for the house which notes I had had in my hands from the Treasurer for some time.
15. Mr. Taylor preached for me his first Sabbath.-- About Sunset Mr. Forward Minister of Southwick died.

23 Went to N. Haven & returned to Deacon Clark’s at Southington.
24 Snowed about 9 Inches. Went to Westonbury/

8 Mr. Taylor preached a Lecture for me at John Isipliss. -- Bees Swarmed, the Root Hive Boxes & board weigh 19½ . The bees weighed 5.8?oz. The whole 24½ . And placed at No. 12.
9 D. Dr. Whitney ½ Sparerib.
9 Mrs. Carter buried.

13 Set out Went to Mr. Hales at Westhampton to attend the Circular Lecture. Mr. Tracy preached. Rained at two Show thunder Showers, perhaps, 08 of an inch. terrible hail Storm at Schectadcy & Williamstown.

19 Had another Swarm which weighed 7½lb two boxes board & weighed 17¾ placed at No. 8.
20 Home Lot Mowed.-- Catechized children had about Seventy.-- Bee ?over at Southwick swarmed
22 Hay all got in without any rain. Preached at the north farms after the exercises in the Town?
25 Land plowed for rye
26 Buckwheat sowed to be turned in. Ground dry.
27 Began to rain about 6 o’clock in the morning & rained till about 12 o’clock, rained 1½ Inches.
28 Attended funeral of Leuit Sackett in the morning and P.M. preached preparatory Lecture.
