July 1785
1 The whole grass of the home lot got into the barn without rain.
2 Weighed Bees No. 11 & they weighed 28 lb. and I added another box weighing 5 ¾ = 33 ¾.
2 Bees No. 12 Swarmed.
4 Moose killed in the Town by Lieut. Bush weighed 386 before it was dressed. Received as a present a piece of it ^from General parks & Capt. Sogood. — Clover in the Town lot mowed.
4 Bees No. 12 Swarmed again & the Swarm weighed but a pound & a half. I united it with the Swarm which came from the farm hive the Saturday before & then both Swarms together with the tow boxes weighed 19 1/4lb. — and I placed it in the House against No. 1.
8 Weighed Bees No. 11 weighed 38 lb.
9 Added Boxes to No. 8 & gave them liberty of No. 7. & took home honey from the outside of new? Hive.
10 Exchanged with Mr. Wm. Tracey of Norwich.
5 Preached Lecture at Noadiah Roots
12 Preached lecture . Church meeting
13 Association met at Mr. Grahame Mr. Howard preached.
14 Began to raise the Bridge at Weller’s Mills.
15 Dr. Ashley gave me a Swarm of Bees which weighed 14 ounces. I put them in a Box & placed them at No. 2. The weight of Box & bees was 9lb. 2 oz.
16 In the morning weighed bees. No. 12 weighed 61¼ lb. No. 11 weighed 47 lb. No. 10 weighed 63¾ lb. I then raised No. 10 & put and old a hive under it with old comb in it weighing 8½ lb. The whole 72¼ lb.
19 Added another box to number No. 8.
18 Raised Bees No. 3 on a box weighing 9 lb.
13 Miss Mema came & Miss Milly went home
14 Raised Bees No. 5 & put a box under them weighing 5 lb.
21 Joseph Dewey chosen Deacon.
21 Finished raising the Bridge. — Put a box under bees No. 12 which box together with both board weighed 11¾ lb.
22 Weighed bees No. 2. 9lb. 14 oz.
24 Exchanged with Mr. Lathrop.
25 Weighed bees No. 8 Weighed 18lb. then added a box 4¾ = 32¾
23 Raised straw hive on a box which together with box board weighed 14lb.
25 Weighed bees No. 11 & it weighed 49lb. Then added a box which weighed 5½ lb. = 54½ lb.
29 Weighed Bees No. 2 & it weighed 10 lb.
August 1785
1 Weighed Bees No. 5 and it weighed 44lb.

18 Weighed bees No. 1 39 lb. — No. 5. 35 lb. No. 5 had been stopped many days to preserve it from being robbed.

A very cool Month. Corn backward. The Summer cool .The harvest good. Little thunder.
September 1785
Sowed 18 kernels of Wheat.
4 Mr. Smith of Glastonbury preached for me.
3 Weighed bees No. 2 weighed 43lb.
6 Weighed bees No. 3. 88¾. No. 4. 77 No. 10. 67¼. No. 11. 66¾.
No. 12 75½ Straw hive 51½ — No. 9 robbed & bees gone, the remaining weight 66 lb.
7 preached lecture at and Isa Isaac Stiles.
7 D. a cheese from Mr. Jesse Sackets. And a very large Mushroom from Mr. Isaac Stiles
6 Catechized children had 70 or 80.
12 Weighed bees No. 1. 42 ½ lb.
12 We set out for Commencement . Slept at Farmington.
13 Arrived at New Haven.
14 Attended Commencement.
15 Attended Ordination of Mr. Holomes in the Chapel.
16 Attended Ordination in the Church where a number were ordained by the Bishop.

17 Went to Mount Carmel
18 Preached at Carmel.
19 Went to Mr. Lewis at Farmington.
20 Got home. — left Mr. Stiles Note & my name upon it that I had received my ?? at Mr. /W?
22 Preached a Lecture at Mr. Harrison at the funeral of Widow Baldwin.
27 A small frost. The first this fall.
29 Went to Mr. Cookes? On the Mountain

29 Fowler, Ashley & Bush left the School. Bush had been but few days from the 20th of December. – And Ashley not very many ??? the 16th of September. – And Fowler ?? the 16th of September was sent home.

November 1785
Henry Noble drowned. — Preached a lecture at Nathan Parks at the funeral of his Child [missing date]

3 Killed Calf. — Doctor Mather had Quarter weighing 18 lb. Mrs. Ballantine had a quarter weighing 17 ½ lb,,

4,5,7,& 8 Mr., Grant made partitions in the east cham
7 Went on the Mountain to see the Widow Hoose
8 Went to Northampton with Mima
